How we rank agencies
Every agency in the index has a score out of 100, computed from its record on every build and never typed in by hand. This page prints the formula that runs, with every weight read from the file the scorer uses.
How we rank
Five components, 100 points.
| Component | Max | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Third-party proof | 40 | Clutch and G2 ratings with the profile URL and the date we read them. |
| Pricing transparency | 20 | A published monthly minimum with its source, and a known pricing model. |
| Service depth | 20 | Where the page's service sits in the agency's own service list. |
| Stack transparency | 10 | Named tools in the agency's outbound stack. |
| Editor's pick | 10 | The agencies cited most often across the 30 source lists. |
| Total | 100 | Every component is clamped to its maximum, so no single strength carries the score. |
Third-party proof, 40 points
Each platform gives a signal between 0 and 1: the rating out of five, multiplied by how much of a full review base the agency has. The review base is on a log scale that saturates at 50 reviews, so the first reviews say the most. A 4.9 from 60 reviews is stronger evidence than a 5.0 from 3.
The signals are weighted by platform: Clutch 1.0, G2 0.8. The weighted sum is divided by 1.8 and clamped. Clutch alone at full strength earns about 22 of the 40 points; Clutch and G2 together at full strength earn 40.
A rating counts only with the URL of the profile and the date we read it. We cite four things: the rating, the review count, the URL and the read date. Review text is never copied, and the site publishes no review markup for ratings collected on another platform.
51 of 103 agencies have a rating on file at this build.
Pricing transparency, 20 points
14 points for a published monthly minimum. The source is the record's source link, shown on the profile; a minimum without one counts for nothing. 37 of 103 agencies publish a minimum.
6 points for a known pricing model: retainer, pay-per-meeting, pay-per-lead or hybrid. An agency that publishes neither scores zero here.
Service depth, 20 points
The work an agency leads with ranks highest.
On a service page, the position of that service in the agency's own service list sets its share of the component. On a page without a service, the agency's lead service counts.
| Position | Share | Points |
|---|---|---|
| First (lead service) | 100% | 20 |
| Second | 75% | 15 |
| Third | 50% | 10 |
| Fourth and later | 25% | 5 |
Stack transparency, 10 points
5 points for each named tool, up to 10, so two named tools fill the component. "Custom" names nothing and scores zero.
Editor's pick, 10 points
10 points for the 10 agencies cited most often across the 30 public lists the index was built from. The picks are set when the records are imported and are checked against Clutch and G2 as ratings are collected.
The number on the page
The five components add up to raw points out of 100, and every profile shows that breakdown. The headline score is relative: the strongest agency in the index is set to 95, and every other score is its raw points as a share of the leader's. Nobody scores 100 because the full formula asks for evidence no agency has on file yet. Scaling keeps the order exactly as the raw points set it.
Ranking tables carry no score column. The score sets the order, and the profile prints it with the breakdown. Two agencies on the same score are ordered by the date their record was last verified, most recent first, then by name.
Where the data comes from
- 01Sourced from 30 public lists of outbound, cold email, appointment-setting and Clay agencies, deduplicated by domain. Every domain was checked for a live site.
- 02Pricing, stack and regions come from the agency's own site or a third party we cite. Each record links its source.
- 03Unknown stays unknown. A fact we could not find is shown as not published, and nothing is estimated.
- 04A list mention is what brought an agency into the index. It adds to the score only through the editor's pick.
What each field means
- Services
- What the agency sells, from nine services: cold email, LinkedIn outreach, cold calling, appointment setting, GTM engineering, list building, SDR outsourcing, intent data, deliverability. Listed in the order the agency presents them; the first is its lead service.
- Segment
- The industries the agency says it sells into. Descriptors that name no industry, such as "mid-market" or "B2B", are kept as a note on the profile and create no segment.
- Regions
- The markets the agency says it serves. An agency listed only as serving global markets appears on no region page.
- Stack
- Named tools the agency runs outbound on: Clay, Smartlead, Instantly, Apollo, lemlist, Outreach, Salesloft, HubSpot. "Custom" means in-house or unnamed tooling.
- Pricing model
- Retainer, Pay-per-meeting, Pay-per-lead, Hybrid, or not published. Hybrid means the agency offers two or more models.
- From (monthly)
- The published monthly minimum in US dollars, or "Ask" when none is published. It sets the budget band: Under $3k/mo, $3k-$7k/mo, $7k-$15k/mo, $15k+/mo.
- HQ and founded
- As the agency or a cited source publishes them. "Not published" and "n/a" mean we could not find the fact.
- Proof
- A Clutch or G2 rating with its review count, the profile URL and the date we read it.
- Last verified
- The latest date on the record, the day its facts were last checked against the sources.
Which pages exist
116 ranking pages at this build.
- 01A ranking page exists only when three or more agencies match it. Below that it is neither generated nor linked.
- 02When a narrower page would list exactly the same agencies in the same order as the page above it, only the broader page is generated. The narrower address redirects to it with a 301; 9 addresses do so at this build.
- 03Region matches are exact. An agency listed only as serving global markets appears on no region page.
- 04Pricing model pages list every agency that offers the model, hybrid agencies included. Budget pages list agencies whose published minimum falls in the band, and a band includes its lower bound.
Badges
Earned from the record at every build. A badge whose condition stops holding disappears at the next build, image included.
| Badge | Criteria | Holders |
|---|---|---|
| Clay Native | Lists Clay in its stack. | 40 |
| Pay-Per-Meeting | Offers pricing per held meeting. | 5 |
| Verified Deliverability | Offers deliverability as a service. | 13 |
| SDR Pod | Offers SDR outsourcing: dedicated reps managed by the agency. | 33 |
| Editor's Pick | One of the ten agencies cited most often across third-party lists. | 10 |
| Top Outbound Agency, by region | One of the three highest-ranked agencies on a region page, with the region and the year in the badge name. Awarded at this build for US, UK, Europe, DACH, Australia, Canada and APAC. | 21 |
Corrections
We write every listing from sources anyone can check. An agency whose situation has changed updates it at the source, on its own site or its review profiles, and sends the links to hello@outboundagencyindex.com. The listing follows the record.
Independence
No agency pays to be listed, ranked or badged. Listing is free and nothing on the site can be bought.
The weights on this page are read from the file the scorer runs on, so the published formula and today's scores for all 103 agencies cannot drift apart.
